A SMALL ORGANIZATION WITH A BIG MISSION.The Martha Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that will provide an independent assisted-living community for mildly developmentally challenged adults. This planned community, called The Independence Apartments, will give mildly developmentally challenged adults the opportunity to live in their own apartments.
A staff of trained professionals provides basic care and assistance to help each resident with daily functions, ensuring their safety and--most importantly--their dignity and quality of life.

SECURING FUTURES. FILLING NEEDS.
Caregivers and parents dedicate their lives to providing a loving environment and a secure future for their mildly developmentally challenged loved-ones. At some point, because of aging or other circumstances, it is no longer possible for the primary caregiver to give the daily assistance required. When this happens, there are few available options--and the options that do exist often have a waiting list of years. This is a crisis that The Martha Foundation seeks to solve by providing a caring, long-term, assisted-living environment.

THE INDEPENDENCE APARTMENTS.
A HOME FOR LIFE. On 13 beautiful, wooded acres of donated land on the South Shore, the 70-unit residence will provide a comfortable living environment that fosters a sense of community. Our residents will live independently with appropriate care and security. And, their friends and family will have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are truly "at home"--for life.
We need Founders--individuals, corporations, foundations--to help make The Independence Apartments a reality for families in need of long-term assisted living for their developmentally challenged adult children. Join us in providing a solution to this most urgent need.
